Existing Scaffold Appraisal

DH Scaffold Services Ltd was appointed at a late stage of the Braccans project in Bracknell to appraise an existing scaffold. Our brief was to assess the erected arrangement against a design supplied by a third party and review its conformity with applicable scaffolding requirements.

The challenge

With the scaffold already erected, the task centred on understanding the existing arrangement and its relationship to the supplied design. This required consideration of both the design information and the scaffold on site, rather than developing a new scheme from the outset.

Our response

DH Scaffold Services Ltd undertook an appraisal of the existing scaffold, reviewing the arrangement against the third-party design and relevant requirements. Our role was to assess the scaffold as presented; the original design had been prepared by others.

Alongside the appraisal, we were asked to arrange aerial photography of the project. We engaged Aerisurv Ltd as a separate specialist provider to capture aerial imagery and edit the project video.

The project demonstrates our experience of supporting clients with existing scaffold appraisals, including schemes where DH was not the original designer.
